When water is heated, limescale is deposited, causing pipes to narrow. This not only slows down the heating process and increases energy consumption, but may even lead to the machine's complete breakdown. Limescale also negatively impacts the quality of coffee. While a small amount of calcium carbonate is essential for the flavor, excessive levels result in an unpleasant aftertaste and prevent the proper development of coffee aromas.

To address this issue, JURA has developed a descaling tablet that effectively removes scale while being gentle on your coffee machine, thereby extending its service life.
